We are excited to be continuing the season of youth rowing at CBRC with Winter Training. You should find most of the program and registration information you need, below

Junior Winter 2021 - 22 - All Athletes

CBRC will be accepting athletes (7th graders through 12th grade) for 2021 Winter Season.

Please register at the bottom of this page

Season Schedule:

  • First day of Winter Season for All Athletes - Monday, Nov. 15th
  • Last day of Winter Season - Thursday, Feb. 3rd

Practice Schedule:

  • Monday through Thursday 3:45 - 5:30 p.m., Saturday Morning time TBD

Indoor Training Practices for CBRC:

1. All athletes and staff participating in indoor workouts must be fully vaccinated against SARS-CoV-2 and must have submitted proof of vaccination to their head coach

2. Athletes and staff with Covid19 symptoms (including fever, chills, shortness of breath, muscle/body aches, new or worsening cough, and/or loss of taste or smell) or who otherwise reasonably suspect Covid19 infection should NOT attend practices. Athletes and staff with symptoms or concern for Covid19 infection may return to practices after symptoms improve AND a negative Covid19 test result, OR after 10 days without a Covid19 test result. Athlettes and staff who test posivive for Covid19 should not attend practice for at least 10 days.

3. All individual exercise stations (ergometers, weight training stations, and calisthenic stations) must be at least 12 feet from adjacent workout stations, and athletes and staff must whenever possible remain 12 feet from others.

4. Exercise equipment (including ergometers and weights) will be sprayed with disinfectant between athletes and after practice.

5. Windows or boat bay doors must remain open during practices.

6. All athletes and staff not at an exercise station must wear a mask.

7. Only one person allowed in restrooms at a time.

8. No more than 20 people (including coaches) in the upstairs workout room at any one time.

This policy is intended to reduce the risk of Covid19 transmission during indoor workouts, and is based on the Sports and Fitness guidance provided by the Washington State Department of Health.

Junior Winter 2021 -22 - Athlete Information

General Participation Requirements

Each rower is required to register online before participating in each rowing season. Athletes must also hold a current USRowing membership, have their member number available, and sign a USRowing online waiver. Finally, please sign and submit the electronic Code of Conduct Agreement form to complete registration with CBRC.

US Rowing Membership:

For information on how to obtain a US Rowing member number please use the information found here.

  • A USRowing membership is required for participation in rowing at CBRC.
    • A "Championship Membership" ($45.00) is required.
    • US Rowing memberships are good for one year from month of purchase.

CBRC Membership Dues:

  • Annual dues are $50. Payment is due upon registration for Fall season unless you have already paid with Summer or Fall season registration or with rack rental.

Volunteer Commitment:

  • Volunteering is essential to the success of all of our programs at CBRC.
  • Please help with at least one CBRC event or committee.
  • Contribute 3 hours or more of your time per season.

Winter Season Participation Fees:

  • Winter Season fee: $390.00

The fees include the following operating costs:

  • Practice costs: coaches' pay, payroll taxes, launch gas, repair costs, etc.
  • registration fees, insurance, etc.

The above fees do not include the following:

  • US Rowing Membership ($45.00)
  • CBRC Annual dues ($50.00)
  • Team Clothing Fees (Variable).

Optional $50 or $100 donation for equipment replacement or program support

  • When you register, you can choose:
    • "Yes, please accept my donation of ...
    • or "No, thank you."

Winter Season Waivers and Agreements:

Please complete the following agreement prior to first practice.

Winter Registration:

Registration is required for all athletes participating in rowing at CBRC.

  • Registration will open: Tuesday, Nov. 9th
  • Please complete your registration by Friday, Nov 19th
  • Choose "Pay by Check" option to make payment arrangements, or pay by check.

At CBRC we are deeply committed to providing a rowing experience to all youth without regard to ability to pay. Scholarship applications are confidentially accepted and welcomed on a need basis.

Yearly Seasons Overview:

  • Current Season - Winter Training - November through January.
  • Spring - February through May.
  • Summer - May through July.
  • Fall - August through October.

Team Clothing: The store is currently now closed and will open in the spring.

All junior team athletes wishing to race are required to purchase the minimum racing uniform. Older CBRC uniforms can be subsituted but we encourage the purchase of the current uniform. All other clothing items can be purchased as desired. Team supporters are welcome to purchase items from the casual wear listed, as well.
