Collegiate Summer Rowing

Home for the summer and looking to row?

The CBRC Master's Team welcomes college students who are home for the summer to come out and join us at our morning practices. You can stay fit, work on your technique, and meet other college rowers from across the country, as well as our great Masters rowers. We gladly accept both rowers and coxswains.

Instruction Period:

  • Athletes are welcome to attend practices until they must return to school, or until Sept. 30 for graduatling seniors. The instruction fee covers all rowing, but not regatta fees, until school resumes.
  • Practices are:
    • Tues. and Thurs. 5:30 a.m.M to 7:00 a.m. for sweep.
    • Mon. and Wed. 5:30 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. for sculling.
    • Sat. 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. for sweep and sculling.

How to Join:

  • Follow instructions below for online registration, or arrange a visit to try out the program.
  • Check-in with Coach Jim Bertolini prior to first day of practice to get boated.

  • $100.00 from first day of practice until you head back to school in September.
  • A USRowing Championship Membership is required for participation in rowing at CBRC.

Registration and Payment:

  • All athletes must register online to participate in CBRC practices.
  • Please register under the "Collegiate Summer Rowing" session. Please do not register under the the other categories.
  • Payments can be made either by credit on the registration page or with a check by selecting the "Pay by Check" option while registering.
  • Payment is due at your first practice. Checks should be made payable to CBRC and dropped in the drop box in the boathouse.
